Community is one of the most important aspects of growing in our faith. We suppport one another, challenge each other, pray for one another, hold each other accountable and generally help each other in our faith journey. But what happens when someone has a hard time connecting? Is it the fault of the church? Is it the fault of that person? Is it God's fault? Community is something we all need. How can we make sure that everyone feels connected and feels part of our church community. Pastor Josh tackles these questions in his sermon "How to Make a Good Church Community".

"Help a brother out!" That is the simple message that the gospel points us toward. We are called to love on others so that we have an opportunity to share the love that Jesus has for all of us. In this message, "When Lord", Josh encourages us to take advantages of the every day opportunities to demonstrate the love of Christ to others and to win them over to His Kingdom! Jesus answers the question "when did we do these things for you?" in Matthew 25 when He said 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' "When Lord?"

Jesus came to deliver us from our sins by His death on the cross. Not only that, but He gave us a clear path to heaven. When we behold God with the understanding that He has given us everything in His Son Jesus, we can't help but rejoice, give praise and thanks, and live a life joyfully expecting Jesus to do great things in us. We are His prized possession. "Behold, God is My Salvation!"

"God is good - all the time. All the time - God is good". Do we truly believe that God is good even in the midst of a world that sometimes seems out of control with pain, and hurt, and evil. When we are struggling with the world around us and it seems there is nothing we can do about it, God has promised His greatness and goodness to those who love Him. Pastor Josh reminds us of the indescribable, undeniable power of God and His amazing love for us. Behold God in His goodness!

When we question why we don't hear from God, or why He doesn't seem to be leading us, is it that we are just so busy that we can't hear Him? God is actively directing our paths daily, but maybe we need to slow down enough to let Him catch up. Far too often we seem to be running ahead of God and then wonder why we end up in confusion. Pastor Josh encourages us today to be intentionally quiet before God - to slow down and get rid of the distractions of life for just a few moments, so that we might hear from the God who created us and knows us better than ourselves. "Beholding God in the Quiet".

When we are wandering in the wilderness and life seems difficult and confusing, how can we behold God? Are we upset with Him, or do we embrace that time to grow in our relationship with Him? Pastor Josh challenges us this week to look at those times in the wilderness as an opportunity to grow in our faith and to endure life's challenges while praising God in the process.
